Nuestra clínica de fertilidad en Zaragoza, UR HLA Montpellier, comenzó sus pasos en Enero del año 2016 y desde entonces no ha cesado en su incansable labor de ayudar a mujeres con problemas para concebir a cumplir su sueño de ser madres. Nuestra unidad de reproducción asistida cuenta con unas instalaciones, donde se realiza la labor clínica y un laboratorio específico de la Unidad, dotadas con tecnología de punta y extraordinario capital humano.

Over the past year, I've experienced outpatient visits, emergency room visits, various examinations, hospitalization, and surgery at this hospital. Overall, the efficiency of appointments and treatments was very high; many simple tests ordered by outpatient doctors were completed on the same day. During hospitalization, family members can stay overnight. The wards are single rooms with a sofa, a chair, a private bathroom, and a small balcony. The hospital does not provide toiletries, but it provides four meals a day free of charge, and bottled water is available in the rooms. I would especially like to thank the following medical staff: Emergency Department: Although the ER experience sometimes depends on luck, I was very fortunate to have Dr. Roberto Camilo Labarte Mekin. He took my symptoms very seriously and handled them appropriately. Thanks to him, he promptly ordered a contrast-enhanced CT scan, which led to the discovery of my health problem. Inpatient Department/Internal Medicine: Special thanks to Dra. Valero Gracia, a truly exceptional doctor. She was my attending physician during my first hospitalization. She was very patient and especially willing to listen to patients' descriptions, especially foreign patients! Cardiology: Dr. Castillo was very responsible and gave me a lot of valuable health advice. Even two months after my outpatient visit, I contacted him via email with questions, and he patiently replied each time. Digestive Surgery: Dr. Sofia Borlan Anson and her team had excellent surgical skills, resulting in a good recovery and a clean incision. Other Staff: The nurses in the inpatient ward and the administrative staff on the ground floor were all very friendly. However, there were some oversights in the hospital's management processes and medical standards: 1. Lack of Patient Identification: The hospital did not have a policy requiring patients to wear wristbands during emergency room or inpatient care, which posed a certain risk to identification. 2. Inadequate Administrative and Insurance Coordination: For patients with ASISA or similar insurance, the insurance company needs the exact surgery date to issue an authorization letter (Autorización). However, the hospital often only confirms the specific date shortly before surgery, leaving too narrow a time window, causing patients great anxiety and even the risk of not receiving authorization on the day of surgery. 3. Issues with Operating Procedures and Medical Records: I encountered a situation where no obvious skin disinfection step was observed during an intravenous infusion procedure, indicating room for improvement in aseptic technique. Furthermore, there was no detailed surgical procedure report after surgery; only a brief note from the doctor on the discharge slip, resulting in incomplete medical records. While these issues do not affect my assessment of the professionalism of most medical staff, I still hope the hospital will continue to improve its procedures and standards.
